On May 3rd, 2008, beginning at noon, the best local high school “garage” bands will gather at the Gainesville State College Amphitheater to battle skills and talent, in a competition to end all competitions. Directions can be found here.

Bands performing include: Furiya, Seconds from Falling, Nowhere America, SuperSmashKids, Heaven in Black and White, and Zellis. (click here for bios and audio samples)

Come support your favorite band and, while you’re at it, enter to win an iPod touch or iPhone. General admission and raffle tickets can be purchased at the event or online.

The event will end with a special performance by singer/songwriter, Matthew Perryman Jones.
